Inventory Control Clerk (85H012)
Essential Job functions (Tasks, duties and responsibilities most important to Job)
- Utilize inventory reports to maintain accurate inventory in WMOS and Omnia
- Comparison Report
- Shipping Upload Summary
- Partnership with FTZ team to ensure balanced inventory
- Confirms accurate processing of adjustments using Inventory Validation reports
- Resolve inventory discrepancies by communicating with IC leadership and Support groups
- Prepare, compile, scan, validate and file daily cycle count, variance reports, etc.
- Prepare and distribute inventory reports as assigned, to include, idle iLPNs, transitional inventory, etc.
secondary functions (IF APPLICABLE - ANY DUTIES NOT CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL)
- Perform cycle counts, log exceptions, data entry and sorting of returns, and other activity as required by IC leadership
- Responsible for promoting and maintaining all activity to achieve overall inventory accuracy
- Support the Inventory leadership team supporting all operational areas of the Distribution Center
- Instruct IC leadership of action needed to resolve variances
- Coordinate efforts of Support and Inventory Control to resolve inventory issues
- Other duties as assigned
knowledge, skill and ability requirements (minimum compentencies required)
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications, 10-key skills preferred
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled at multi-tasking, data entry and the ability to react quickly to frequent priority shifts
- Ability to work a flexible schedule while maintaining a good attendance record; Dependability in the job is essential
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Analytical skills with ability to problem solve and uncover root cause
- Knowledge of hand (RF) scanners and experience using Warehouse Management
- Must have the ability to work safely and abide by all of Carter’s Safety rules and procedures
prior work experience and educational requirements
- High school diploma or GED, preferred not required
- At least two years warehouse experience, preferably in an Inventory Control role
PHYSICAL and Work DEMANDS
- Must be available to work in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment with flexibility to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs
- Must be able to stand and work for long periods of time, to include overtime and holidays as required
- Holiday schedule to be decided by Management.
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or vary in size
- Must be able to repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in varying to extreme temperatures
- Must be available to work consecutive days in a row (for example 11+ days) during critical business times
- Comply with Blackout Periods as determined by Management
