Assistant Colorist

Responsibilities

In view of the on-going development of the Carter's Color and Innovation Centre in Hong Kong, we are looking for a a passionate Assistant Colorist to join our team

• Understand and maintain color filing system, including submissions, strike offs, bulk production records
• Communicate color comments to vendors via PLM systems within specified timelines for development and bulk, and print out artwork from the system for evaluation  
• Create and maintain approved lab dip to color master cards, and dispatch approval record to offshore office and ATL office (if need)
• Support Colorist to manage mill vendor self-approval production colors’ and submit workload report monthly to Color Manager
• Review and approve color, mainly in 1st Bulk and Shade Band based on company’s color tolerance standard
•  Operate Data color machine for color reading reference; and support Spectro readings regularly 

Requirements:

• University Graduate with major in Textile Technology or Textile Chemistry is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with basic understanding or knowledge on dyeing/printing processing
• Proven experience approving color and pass Munsell Hue 100 Eye test
• Basic understanding of Color theory, terminology and print technique
• Well-organized, self-motivated and attention to details with strong sense of responsibility
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
