This role will report to the HK Senior Manager directly to work independently for all-round merchandising function:
Job Description
Product Development & Pre-Production Management
- Manage related products development - market sample tracking, T&A management and provide sample options for meeting due dates
- Understand product development process to allow effective negotiations with vendors and resolve development/production issues, ensure on time delivery and quality
- Follow up with vendors on sample development/lab dips/graphic submission to meet due date
- Collaborate with vendors, cross functional team and counterparts, engage people in different locations (e.g. HK & USA Offices)
- Pre-production approvals management
Team & Data Management
- Able to coach the team and lead them to achieve KPI’s
- Data maintenance in different systems such as PLM, Intellimas to manage daily activities
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve vendor related issues at right time
?Job Specifications
- University degree or above with at least 8 years’ working experience with 2 - 3 years as Assistant Manager level. Previous working experience in Brands or Buying Office is required
- Solid experience in Knits baby products for US/Canada markets and knowledge on Sweaters will be a plus
- Familiar with product safety requirements of baby/childrenswear
- Well-organized, systematic, detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good problem-solving and influencing skills. Abel to work through and overcome issues independently
- Capability to lead complex and demanding negotations with successful results
- Proactive and open-minded to establish relationship with stakeholders
- Proficient in MS office (Pivot table, v-lookup, power-point Excel and Word)
- Good command of written and spoken English
