Benefits Analyst (Health & Welfare/Leave of Absence)

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Support Health & Welfare plan administration and compliance, including payroll review, member escalations and Leave of Absence processes/escalations. Support HR/Benefits special projects as needed based on department needs.
This role is based in our Buckhead, Atlanta office on-site 4 days per week, and remote 1 day per week.
Health & Welfare and Leave of Absence Plan Administration (50%)
- Support day-to-day Health & Welfare plan administration for U.S. and Canada, including benefits, enrollment, appeals, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits, HSA/FSA & COBRA in partnership with third party administrators - for both the Full-time and Part-time U.S. and Canada populations.
- Serve as day-to-day lead for full-time and part-time U.S. and Canada benefits payroll process for assigned benefits, including oversight of third-party direct bill process and taking corrective actions in Workday.
- Complete timely processing, auditing and reconciliation of healthcare-related invoices.
- Serve as benefits liaison with payroll, including health & welfare deduction audits.
- Assist with Leave of Absence file errors, payroll process and escalations.
- Support Benefits Manager on analysis and implementation of strategic health and wellbeing opportunities.
Annual Enrollment & Customer Service (40%)
- Coordinate planning, communications and testing for Annual Enrollment.
- Plan and execute wellness events and initiatives.
- Handle Health & Welfare and Leave of Absence inquiries and escalations, including daily monitoring of benefits email inboxes, escalating to manager when appropriate.
- Timely follow up with employees and HR partners for any inquiries for assigned benefits programs.
Compliance (10%)
- Support Health & Welfare compliance, including 5500 filings, Plan Documents/SPDs/SMMs, SBCs, welfare plan non-discrimination testing, state reporting requirements.
- Operate in accordance with FMLA and Disability, State and local sick and paid family leave laws.

- Excellent customer service skills, be analytical, and detail oriented.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Excellent customer service skills, supporting both internal and external customers.
- Able to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel) with proven ability to quickly learn other required systems.
- Must maintain complete confidentiality at all times.
Preferred skills and experience:
- A wide variety of past experiences
- 2+ years benefits administration or human resources experience preferred.
- HRIS and Benefits Admin system experience preferred. - Experience in a retail environment and with customer service preferred.
- Working knowledge of Health & Welfare/ACA regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and ACA) and Leave/Disability laws (FMLA, ADA), with ongoing management of regulatory developments. Retirement Plan knowledge a plus.
- Experience working with benefits administration systems and Workday for payroll/HRIS preferred.
