HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Personalization is a key strategic initiative at Carter’s, impacting all aspects of the business from how associates interact with our customers in stores, the online shopping experience, and to all customer communications. As the Digital Asset Manager, you will play a significant role in our personalization strategy and broader digital transformation efforts. You will derive critical insights into customer and audience behavior and action initiatives that ensure our customers receive relevant and meaningful digital assets at the right time in their customer journey.

To accomplish this, you will collaborate with a marketing-focused Agile squad in the delivery of key projects, requiring a comprehensive understanding of marketing technology stacks and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and other consumer-facing applications like e-commerce platforms and analytics tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the foundational elements of our DAM as it integrates within our MarTech stack. Some of your closest partners will be our Studio, Communications, Customer Data, Brand and Creative, and the Retail Product teams.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, Content Management System and sits on the Marketing team alongside the other members of the personalization product team. The role will be based is based in our Buckhead office in our hybrid work environment.


DAM System Creation, Management, and Integrations (35%)

  • Drive the creation, management, and enhancement of our Digital Asset Management system, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of cross-functional teams and aligns with our personalization strategy
  • Develop robust processes for asset acquisition, cataloging, storage, management, and protection, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and internal policies

Asset Processes & Organization (30%):

  • Design and implement asset taxonomy and metadata structure for easy retrieval, ensuring uniformity of content usage across the organization
  • Monitor access to and use of digital assets, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to guidelines
  • Ensure the DAM system integrates effectively with existing technology stacks and marketing systems

Analysis and Reporting (15%):

  • Conduct regular analysis and reporting on asset usage, demographics, and lifecycle metrics, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in the Digital Asset Management space and consider opportunities for future expansion
  • Determine all desired orchestration system integrations (e.g., SFMC, CMS, Adobe Analytics, CDP, etc.) and required data for each system (e.g., event collection, event and customer IDs, system ID, etc.

Monitoring Brand Consistency, Industry Trends, and Project Management (20%)

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills to consistently deliver outstanding results on-time and in line with established budgets
  • Show deep understanding and knowledge in Agile development as well as project management
  • Serve as the bridge/translator between the non-technical and technical resources during development and implementation to ensure that requirements and dependencies are well understood
  • Provide on-going assessment of industry trends and customer needs/requirements by leveraging industry research, consumer research, and professional networking

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: 

  • 5+ years of experience in digital asset management, preferably in a retail or digital agency setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of DAM solutions. 
  • Proficiency in data architecture, data modeling, and cloud-based data systems.
  • Strong understanding of metadata standards, asset taxonomies, content management systems, and digital rights.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical processes to varied audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with agile development and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence will be an added advantage.
  • A dynamic and proactive person with a passion for breaking down complicated information into digestible formats for customers
  • Strong track record of managing large scale initiatives and delivering capabilities to drive business growth
  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing product opportunities, building feedback loops, and creating product metrics
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and on project teams
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects under deadlines
  • Analytical nature and ability to make decisions based on insights and metrics
