Job Description

  • Focus on fabric development, managing sample yardage, in-season fabric costing and forecasting, and bulk fabric quality to ensure the on-time delivery of the fabric
  • Approve the bulk for fabric quality for new fabrics, special techniques, and for opt out quality
  • Identify and escalate fabric/product quality-related issues and lead quick resolution in order to meet company standard
  • Manage any late fabric that will impact market samples ETD to USA, partner with PDC and mills and provide reasonable solutions
  • Partner with wash team to ensure the quality of the wash program meets standards and testing requirements
  • Report left over yardage liability, and negotiate screen charges in partnership with nominated mills
  • Review market samples & bulk WIP with mill to ensure all fabric PO are in process
  • Assist in develop new fabric quality and evaluate need for new fabrics prior to development
  • Initiate preventative measures as well as delivering accurate and timely quality control analysis
  • Engage Global Procurement Team for any big shift in forecasts and may affect the negotiated fabric price

Job Requirements

  • Higher Diploma or above in Textile Technology (or other related disciplines) with at least 5 years' work experience in garment field, preferably in children wear for USA buying office
  • Familiar with US / Canada market product and testing requirements
  • Sound technical knowledge and skills on knit,  woven and denim fabric construction, production process, QA procedures and inspection analysis and fabric order management
  • Proficient in MS office including Excel, Pivot table, Vlookup, Powerpoint and Word
  • Experience in using Flex PLM is an advantage
  • Experience in ESG project / certificate (Oekotex, GOTS, GRS, BCI...) is an advantage
  • Well-organized, systematic, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and Bangla
