HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The IT Project Management Office (PMO) Intern will be responsible for or assisting day-to-day SCRUM management of small to midsized initiatives; as well as supporting PM teammates establishing and managing existing projects utilizing various methodologies. They will also be involved in the team’s ongoing process improvement initiatives to better the project delivery experience.
This role reports to the IT PMO Director. This Director has 7 direct reports and is based in our Phipps office. The IT PMO team is hybrid with most members working remote and in office multiple times a week depending on business activity .
80%: Project Management Delivery
- Assist PMs in managing multiple cross functional projects that span multiple lines of business
- Ability to manage small to mid-size projects using Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Support scrum masters to create and manage sprint plans, release plans, stakeholder communication plan, budget (planned, actual and forecast), and risk management plan
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
- Collaborate with resource managers for other IT areas to staff the appropriate skills and number of resources on the project
20%: Process Improvements
- Work with PMO leaders to identify & alter existing processes that streamline project delivery
- Collaborate with PMO leaders, PMs, business analyst, quality assurance teams to identify gaps and create new processes, templates that support effective yet efficient project delivery practices

Must have:
- Strong Communication: Ability to effectively communicated to team members/stakeholders

- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 strongly preferred)Enrollment in a Bachelor/Master’s Business or Project Management degree program at the time of the internship (certificate programs are not eligible)Availability to start on the designated start date in May 2025
- Availability to work for a minimum of 10 out of the 11 weeks of the defined internship period which runs from May-August
Preferred skills and experience:
- Previous experience in managing a project (but not required)
