HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:


The Merchandise Associate reports to the Product Category Manager and plays a crucial support role on the merchandising team. This position works closely with product category managers, planners and replenishment analysts in an administrative capacity.


85%: Buying Support Functions

  • Style maintenance of all product information on Seasonal Line Sheets in Flex PLM for Canada
  • Style creation in Flex PLM and follow through for Canada exclusive styles
  • Ensure price accuracy across all systems 
  • Apply packing codes, known as DIM’s, to all products bought 
  • Bulk purchase order maintenance for both B&M Stores & Ecommerce
  • Creation & maintenance of Monthly Flow Visual Boards (In Design)
  • Data entry of all promotions in Forecast Horizon (both markdowns, mark ups and validation)
  • Purchase order entry only for OSV (outside vendor)

15%: Collaborative Responsibilities

  • Support Product Category Manager & OSV calendar timelines, tasks and requests
  • Prioritize workload in partnership and guidance of Product Category Manager to accomplish daily/weekly tasks & deadlines
  • Support and collaborate with the merchant team and cross functional partners

Must have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Adobe Acrobat)
  • Oral and written communication, critical thinking, keen attention to detail, time management, analytical comprehension
  • Multitask, decisive, team oriented and able to work well with cross functional partners
  • Knowledge of retail math and analytics, merchandising principles, product knowledge
  • Attention to detail 

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Secondary education or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1+ years retail experience required
