HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Print Designer works closely with the cross functional team to develop and execute seasonal baby and toddler prints that support the evolution of the brand. S/he creates innovative designs that are on trend and brand right while keeping relevant to the customer. The Print Designer will partner closely with team members to achieve design goals.
- Design to create innovative prints that are aligned with overall seasonal design direction as well as supporting graphics
- Prepare inspiration/trend boards using creative methods
- Work closely with Design team members to provide additional creative partnership
- Contribute to new innovative print layout and technique solutions
- Assure timely and accurate execution of artwork for seasonal print and graphic developments
- Develop and execute designs through to final production, templating changes or modifications to existing artwork
- Develop strong working relationships with cross functional team members (Merchandising, Production and Design) through effective communication and problem solving
- Use trend intelligence and understanding of the current and historical business to design and execute specific classifications
- Proactively seek out opportunities to maximize the business and elevate the product
- Champion product design excellence in working meetings and formal presentations
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:
- Ability to provide innovative designs that align with brand DNA and provide sound design solutions
- Some knowledge of printing and apparel graphic techniques and production
- Utilize traditional hand sketching and painting techniques in conjunction with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate
- Understanding of the children’s wear market and customer
- Ability to successfully multi-task and shift priorities
Preferred skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years’ experience with strong hands-on knowledge and skills working within the print and/ or graphic apparel industry
- Prior experience working within vertical retail environment, preferred
- Adept at putting together technical packages
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator + Microsoft Excel; PLM, a plus
