Employee with a strong foundation in Production Planning, Capacity Management and Supply Chain skills with the ability to operate independently.

  • 40%: Buy, WIP and Vendor Management
  • Work directly with designated vendors to maintain accurate WIP data.
  • Understand the logic and lead times of Fab Commit, Buy & Production and Time & Action (T&A) calendars.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams (US Ops/ HK Production Planning/ Sourcing) to proactively support execution of manufacturing activities, escalate high risk orders and realized operational issues as appropriate.
  • Collect and validate vendor capacity capabilities as well as ensure that move-up production plans are executed.
  • Deliver global production risk, slide summary and vendor performance analysis, as required.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for the vendor community on production planning processes/rules; communicate and monitor any special shipping needs for specific customers (preferably Wal-Mart, Target USA, Costco etc...)
  • Collaborate cross functionally to solve production and delivery related; identify and mitigate preproduction development and manufacturing risks, outlining possible root causes and potential solutions.
  • Act as a gatekeeper to ensure applying all required processes for smooth execution.
  • 25%: Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate production risk reporting and negotiate better deliveries where possible.
  • Monitor timely shipment booking request and shipment closure utilizing automated reporting for designated suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely system records, follow production management process, utilize data to analyze and report underperforming vendors and identify supply risks.
  • Ensure time bound and justified liability management report.
  • Actively contribute and partner with leaders on setting annual goals, update WIP data tracker, vendors’ scorecards etc. and reporting thereon.
  • 15%: Development Tasks
  • Assist in documenting process and building training materials and participate in vendor trainings.
  • Provide external training to vendors on production management process, eSPS PO slide module, Andromeda system & UAT, Intellimas, WIP module etc.
  • 10%: Projects
  • Partner with the Sr. Production Planning Analyst and other key related stakeholders on ad-hoc projects.
  • 10%: Coaching & Leadership
  • Offer solutions to Associate Production Planning Analyst and peers, when needed.
