SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT

  • Make sure the KPI of the Observed Quality Level (OQL) is maintained below the given target with stability to meet the defined Accepted Quality Level (AQL).
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the supplier’s Quality Management System (QMS) and provide insight to the line manager for necessary development areas.
  • Monitor supplier's top three defects and relevant reports, root cause analysis, and corrective actions then involve optimizing with proper coaching and guiding to all stakeholders.
  • Work with line manager to initiate and follow up CAPs for necessary improvement areas for quality, product safety, process management, and general.

WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT OF ASSIGNED FACTORIES

  • Monitor the workload of assigned factories on a weekly and monthly basis and update the line manager on the feasibility of executing assigned work
  • Make sure all necessary events of PPM, Inline audits, and Final Inspections are executed on time

MONITOR CERTIFIED AUDITORS (CA) and CA PROGRAMS IN ASSIGNED FACTORIES

  • Monitor the quantity and quality of the work of the CAs
  • Train and Coach CAs from time to time to update them on all of Carter’s ongoing changes
  • Follow up all report updates Flex PLM by CAs and make sure all is done in right and on time
  • Work closely with CAs and guide them to follow Carter’s standards
  • Constantly update the line manager about the CAs status of assigned factories

PRE-PRODUCTION MEETING (PPM)

  • Monitor factory production and schedule to make sure PPM is carried out for all necessary styles based on risk assessment.
  • Make sure all product safety concerns/elements (Prong ring fasteners, buttons, buttons, studs, bows, draw codes, appliques etc.)   are addressed to meet standards at the pre-production level to secure the bulk production and its consistency.

FINAL (AQL) SHIPMENT PRODUCT AUDITS AND CORRELATION AUDITS

  • Review factory audit scheduling requests to confirm schedule planning and carry out at least 20% of Correlation audits against the total CA audits
  • Both product-construction audit and packaging audit are to be completed; combined PO/line audits are to be done as much as possible depending on factory production.
  • Ensure same-day notification of any failed audit to designated CGS management.
  • Involve following up on all rechecks for failed audits and ensuring rechecks are done in the right manner with the right corrective actions and product quality is not compromised.
  • Execute all system updates on time

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL   ACTIVITIES 

  • Upon request from the line, the manager extends cooperation to work collaboratively with Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, the Manufacturing excellence team (ME), the Product integrity team, and the sourcing/merchandising team.
  • Hand-select bulk garments in the factory for any special purpose as identified by CGS Management.
  • Review and respond to e-mails that impact respective PO/Lines or factories covered.
  • Report important observations or changes to factory situations regarding management, customer base, equipment investments, capacity expansion, etc.
  • Be flexible to meet assignments and travel requirements to support CGS Quality Objectives.

Prior work experience and educational requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience in garment inspection, kids wear will be highly advantage
  • Knowledge of computer /word/excel/ ESPS
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken/written English
  • High Scholl graduate
  • Willing to travel
