HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Manage Creative Development of two brands or SBU’s  65%:

  • Drives creative for original, innovative prints, and graphics for production in multiple apparel categories and age ranges, primarily baby and toddler 
  • Collaborate with leader to set a vision that drives innovation, that is brand right and on trend for print/graphics and translates creative direction to inspire team
  • Lead innovation with print and graphic creation for two brands or SBU(s); be main point person for art leader
  • Strong use of illustration, color, layout, repeats, and versatile techniques 
  • Create some brand and trend appropriate print/graphics as individual contributor for team while managing artists
  • Present key trends each season for prints and graphics in collaboration with design leaders through concept presentations and through seasonal creative playbooks

Process, Calendar, and Cross Functional Collaboration 35%:

  • Active participant in art and cross-functional team meetings to represent creative art teams for specified brands and SBU’s 
  • Manage calendar expectations, partnering with cross-functional partners to mutually reach deadlines that may be tight and overlapping
  • Effectively juggle & coordinate multiple priorities & competing demands for two brands or SBU’s
  • Ensure on-time completion of print and graphic art and production paperwork 
  • Monitor accuracy on paperwork & implement best business practices for both Creative and Production artists
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross functional team members
  • Proactively reaches out and collaborates with cross-functional partners throughout the product development cycle and acts as an influencer and role model to others
  • Manages and develops 3+ direct reports

Must have:

  • Strong creative leadership skills able to inspire and encourage their team to reach creative output and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and remain focused in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Work creatively, accurately and efficiently, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Possess strong working knowledge of Illustrator & Photoshop 
  • Manufacturing knowledge of graphics screen prints, rotary prints, embroidery, appliqué and trims
  • Display strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred skills and experience:

  • 10+ years industry experience
  • Art or design degree preferred
