Essential Job functions
65% Relationship Building and Training, Education, and Awareness
- Build relationships with store employees and identify fraud in Mexico Retail Stores.
- Create and maintain the Asset Protection awareness program, the target shrink stores and the physical security of the stores.
- Create, develop and maintain various Asset Protection programs and tools that will be used by stores for awareness and/or prevention of theft
- Ensure compliance of the high-shrink program
25% Store Investigations
- Utilize exception reporting to identify high profile stores for evidence of fraudulent activity, mismanagement, or theft resulting in high shrinkage.
- Determine if loss trends continually exist in and tracks errors, losses, etc., to monitor and identify suspicious activity; communicate summary reports of findings to the Senior Director, Asset Protection
- Visit retail stores; handle interviewing, and other important facets of the Asset Protection industry.
10% Auditing Functions
- Conduct store audits by reviewing shrink concerns, breaks in policy, and address issues with store teams.
- Utilize Asset Protection tools and partner with Asset Protection Analysts as well to plan store visits/audits.
- Recap audit results with store District Managers and Regional Manager.
SUPERVISORY / BUDGETARY / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY

Knowledge, skill and ability requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- English Proficiency - Spanish native language
- Working knowledge of computers, exception reporting systems, and related MS Office applications
- Strong project management skills
- Strong knowledge of audit procedures
- Knowledge of applicable Mexican federal laws
- Knowledge of interview techniques such as Wicklander/Zulawski
- General knowledge of physical security applications
- Understanding of retail sales drivers & KPIs, financial reports and retail business acumen
- Ability to function independently and problem solve with minimal direction
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
Prior work experience and educational requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in Multi-Unit Asset Protection environment
- Experience in training and education preferred
- Retail industry experience is preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- 50% of travel is required
