How you’ll make an impact:
The Senior Merchandiser is responsible for managing sample development and production approvals in a timely manner, facilitate communication across functional partners to ensure things happen according to our production calendar.
This role typically reports into the Merchandising Manager based in our Bangladesh office in our hybrid work environment.
50%: Production Approvals
- Collaborate with vendors, cross functional team and counterparts, engage people in different locations - HK & US office
- Manage lab dips/strike-offs/graphics/wash submissions/status to meet due dates
20%: Development
- Market samples tracking and system kick off - follow up with vendors on sample development and manage Market Sample due dates
- Resolve development quality issues to meet the company requirements
20%: Data and System Maintenance
- Make use of different systems such as PLM, Intellimas to manage daily activities
10%: Cross Functional Team Communication
- Engage cross functional partners regularly to exchange up-to-date information
We’d Love to hear from you if:
Must have:
- University degree or above
- At least 5 years’ working experience in related products for US/Canada markets
- Solid experience in buying / sourcing office
- Experience in managing baby/childrenswear, familiar with product safety requirements of baby/childrenswear
- Proven track record in Compliance and Ethical Sourcing
- Solid experience in Supplier Evaluation and Selection
- Good understanding in Product Life Cycle Management
- Wel-organized, systematic and detail-oriented
- Proficient in MS Office (Pivot table, v-lookup, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Good command of written and spoken English
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience in PLM is an advantage
