Are you looking for the next step in your security career? Carter's Security is hiring a new Senior Security Engineer!
As Senior Information Security Engineer you would be a member of the IT Security team, and report to the Senior Manager of Information Security. Your work will focus on designing, configuring, implementing, and optimizing solutions approved by both Security Management and other support team members to support the overall business goals of Carter’s. Additionally in this role, you will support business teams with technical operational tasks as needed to minimize security risks.
While remote, this role works based on an EST-based schedule. Candidates must reside within the lower 48 of the United States.
Role Breakdown:
Security Solution Design & Engineering (70%)
Responsible for the technical design, configuration, maintenance, and support of endpoint security solutions such as malware prevention, EDR/XDR, and threat-hunting tools.
Provide subject matter expertise in securing computer systems, including the development of policies, documentation, and processes for ongoing support.
Knowledge and professional experience with AWS security solutions such as GuardDuty, CloudTrail, IAM, WAF, Shield, and Security Hub.
In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, and working knowledge of MacOS and Linux. Experience with Android is a plus.
Perform on-call duties by responding to and investigating security alerts, events, and notifications.
Working knowledge in secure email gateway, SIEM, network security, vulnerability management, threat hunting, application security, sandboxing, and isolation technologies. Proficiency with scripting languages (Python and/or Powershell) is preferred
Lead security solutions meetings with colleagues and external vendor partners to enhance current security configurations.
Provide guidance and support to security analysts on security-related initiatives
Administrative / Documentation (30%)
Develop procedural, design, and configuration documentation.
Assist the Sr Manager of Information Security with developing and reviewing of metrics and KPIs.
Assist in reviewing security policies and guide the administration of security tools as it relates to endpoint security.
Understands and supports the Company’s goals and objectives and ensures that his/her actions and decisions are consistent.
Keeps his/her management team informed of all matters of importance, particularly instances where deviations from planned results are likely to occur.
Consistently stay informed on emerging security technologies, trends, and developments.
Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned by his/her supervisor and/or security management.
3 - 5 years of experience with information security is required
Endpoint security engineering background, deep technical knowledge
Ability to meet deadlines and work with senior management across disciplines
Ability to perform on-call duties during off-hours and holidays
Adaptable and flexible attitude towards changing business needs
Prior Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
SANS or ISC2 certifications are preferred
Carbon Black, Crowdstrike, SentinelOne or similar technologies
