How You’ll Make an Impact:
Carter’s is seeking a problem solver to join our team! As the Retail Store Technology Senior Solutions Analyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the technology infrastructure of a retail organization, particularly focusing on stores across the United States and Canada.
(50%) Store Technology Management:
Overseeing various store applications such as Workforce Management systems, Communication and Task management tools. This includes ensuring these applications meet the store's operational needs, troubleshooting issues, and managing updates and upgrades.
Managing all hardware components within the stores, such as point-of-sale systems, scanners, and printers. Responsibilities include procurement, maintenance processes, inventory levels and upgrades of hardware to ensure optimal operation.
Overseeing the retail network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and performance across all store locations. This includes monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security.
Software development including ability to build automation scripts, automate software upgrades, and basic webUIs.
(30%) Project Delivery
Oversee technical projects from conception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Working with vendors to procure necessary technology and hardware. This involves negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
Lead the solution design phase for complex retail technology projects.
Provide detailed technical design specs, architecture diagrams and project documentation.
(20%) Continued Improvement and Technology Innovation
Continuously seeking ways to improve technology solutions and processes. This involves staying updated with the latest retail technology trends and innovations and implementing them as appropriate to enhance store operations and customer experience.

Ability to evaluate the financial implications of new technologies or process changes.
Possess a background heavily involved in calculating the return on investment, weighing the costs against the benefits, and presenting clear, data-driven justifications for technology-related decisions, including understanding the long-term financial impacts, potential savings, and value additions of various technological solutions.
Project management skills to oversee system implementations or upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Strong ability to analyze and interpret retail data, identify trends and provide actionable insights to initiate technology projects in stores.
Knowledge of retail systems and software, including point of sale (POS) systems, inventory management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Understanding the effects of changes in the technology ecosystem on different parts of the organization. This includes assessing how new systems, upgrades, or process changes will affect store operations, employee workflows, customer experience, and overall business outcomes.
Ability to foresee through analysis whatever potential risks, disruptions, or benefits and develop strategies to mitigate negative impacts while maximizing positive ones.
Effective communication abilities to liaise with store managers, IT staff, and external vendors. Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. (preferred)
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and departments to enhance system efficiencies and support store operations.
