As Carter’s continues to drive momentum in our digital channels, we are looking for a collaborative, customer-centric Site Merchandising Specialist to join our eCommerce team. This dynamic role focuses on driving the success of Carter’s eCommerce platform through excellence in site operations, strategic partnerships, and innovation. The ideal candidate is innovative, takes initiative, and has a strategic analytical mindset. This person should have experience creatively solving problems using technical tools and processes to support business objectives. The Site Merchandising Specialist role requires a combination of technical expertise, organizational skills, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver an optimal online shopping experience and support the growing digital business.
50%: eCommerce Site Operations
- Lead daily site scrubs with eCommerce and Product Category team
- Execute global price changes and promotions for the site
- Responsible for product accuracy on the site
- Capture weekly competitor homepages, emails, and Key Item Pieces
- Manage Workload Flow for both brands including Master Promotional File Creation
- Responsible for creation, execution and testing accuracy of coupon codes
- Collaborate with marketing partners on site briefs and projects
40%: eCommerce Partnerships
- Attend Creative Review meetings to understand linking strategy and customer journey
- Review weekly site refreshes with the team ensuring that all linking, destinations and merchandising needs are met
- Weekly homepage, landing page refreshes-merchandise shops, collections, and product categories. Utilize selling and customer navigation reports to optimize product presentation and shop setup
- Partner with traffic, email, and dev teams on any outstanding JIRA tickets or issues
- Collaborate directly with internal DTC Product Category Managers and Marketing
- Serve as merchandising contact for refreshes. Check and send correct links and correct site issues
- Review recommendation zones, sort order rules, and track changes
- Work with eCommerce product team to gain a deeper understanding of Salesforce capabilities and opportunities
10%: eCommerce Leadership
- Challenge the status quo and look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies
- Work with eCommerce product team to gain a deeper understanding of Salesforce capabilities and opportunities
- Train the broader team, including the Product Category Management team, on any new site initiatives or functionality
- Work directly with site marketing manager to gain a deeper understanding of site analytics
- Work on special projects as assigned
- Mentor Site Merchandisers on the team
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:
- 2+ years of prior eCommerce experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) preferred
- Retail experience preferred, especially in children’s clothing
Preferred skills and experience:
- Advance Microsoft Office suite proficiency, especially in Excel
- Highly organized, detail oriented, strong communication skills
- Proven ability to multi-task, be flexible and prioritize
- Passion for the web and online shopping a plus
