How you’ll make an impact:
The Senior Analyst – Allocation is responsible for managing, coaching, and developing a team of Analysts responsible for successfully optimizing inventory across stores and eCommerce to support sales, margin, and inventory turn goals. This role reports into the VP & GM of OshKosh, Skip Hop, and Non Apparel, and is based in our Atlanta, GA office. Key responsibilities include:
60%: Lead a team of Analysts to execute and support Retail Inventory Management objectives
Manage and coach a small team of analysts with a development-first mindset
Analyze store and eCommerce inventory and provide recommendations on how to shape strategies and improve retail inventory quality
Ensure the successful execution of inventory strategies and allocations each week
Manage unit forecasts to accurately plan for DC and store labor to support shipment volume
Partner with planning teams to ensure inventory levels are appropriate to support in-stock expectations, sales builds and promotional cadence
Support the buy process by defining inventory strategies, providing guidance on unit depth, in-stock opportunities, inventory flow adjustments and size curve changes to optimize productivity
Assist in execution and validation of Purchase Order writing to ensure accurate receipts
25%: Support the entire Inventory Management team by coordinating/implementing team-wide processes
Provide support to the team related to ad hoc analysis, field callouts, inventory sharing opportunities and buy strategy validations
Review systemic constraints to ensure that our systems are appropriately set to match the team’s strategic intent and needs of the business
Lead monthly processes to accurately launch merchandise floor-sets and monitor inventory timeliness of launch and replenishment inventory
15%: Lead strategies across the broader Retail team to support their growth initiatives
Gain alignment with cross functional teams related to inventory strategy objectives/changes
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, create efficient tools and build user-friendly reports to solve business needs
Provide ongoing ad hoc analytical support to the Retail Senior Leadership Team
We’d Love to hear from you if:
Must have:
4+ years experience in inventory management (Buying, Planning, Allocations)
Analytical / genuine curiosity - ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
Strong communication – proven ability to lead courageously – speak proactively, offer new ideas, take calculated risks, and support positive change
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
Experience in diagnosing, isolating and resolving complex issues
Innovative and customer focused; ability to develop practical and creative solutions that support the customer experience
Proficient in developing strong relationships with all levels of the business
Ability to synthesize and communicate results clearly and effectively
Energetic self-starter who thrives in situations with ambiguity
Preferred skills and experience:
Retail store experience and/or knowledge of distribution and replenishment systems a plus
Tableau experience a plus
