The Computing Systems Analyst is responsible for the design, development, and support of technology solutions that serve a diverse user base across the organization. The role supports the full lifecycle of system implementation, including analyzing business needs, designing user-focused solutions, testing, documentation, and ongoing support.
 

75% Computing Systems Analysis & Design

  • Exercise independent judgement and logic in prioritization of tasks and developing solutions to technical problems 
  • Systems analysis, including consulting with users, and application of industry knowledge to determine functional requirements for new computer systems and system enhancements
  • Design, develop, document, and test computer systems or programs relating to user or system design specifications to ensure ease of use and overall system acceptance
  • Research commercially available software to identify products that might meet departmental requirements; investigates products' ability to meet user, functional, and technical requirements
  • Evaluates impact of solution alternatives and assesses risk to support decision-making
  • Adhere to and identify potential shortcomings related to SOX and PCI requirements and inform staff on established Company policy
  • Document and share knowledge with staff and other team members]
  • Remain abreast on industry changes and advancements in technology
     

25% Systems Support & Administration

  • Troubleshoot end user hardware and software issues
  • Serve as 24x7x365 hands-on support for local MDF and IT facilities
  • File restoration, file and folder permission, & Active Directory management
  • Configure end user personal and Corporate smartphones for mobile email access
  • Extensive knowledge of end user account management in Active Directory
     

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE - ANY DUTIES NOT CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL)

  • Understands and supports the Company’s goals and objectives, and makes certain that his/her actions and decisions, as well as those of his/her subordinates, are consistent with them
  • Engage Systems, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to resolve outages
  • Familiarity with Distribution Center technologies:  Thin Clients, Hand Scanners, Label Printers
     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED FOR JOB PERFORMANCE)

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365, Mobile Device Management, VPN, and financial software 
  • Understanding of a hybrid Windows and Mac Enterprise environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience in a Desktop Support or similar role
  • Strong communication skills required for face-to-face client interaction and intra-team collaboration
  • Must work nights and weekends when required and be available to be contacted while not on duty
  • Maintain updated knowledge of new technology
  • Handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to Java, Internet browsers, and Citrix to support web-based Enterprise applications
  • Ability to communicate and function as a thought leader in the Enterprise Services team
