HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Stylist will bring high aesthetic and creative solutions to a high-volume daily shot count for a wide variety of photography for Carter’s, Inc. This role will create images for eCommerce merchandising, direct mail, social, retail and international marketing.
This role reports in the Senior Stylist, has 1 direct report and is based in our Atlanta photo studio with up to 25% travel yearly.
Breakdown of responsibilities:
Working closely with photo team to organize and execute large-scale projects on schedule (70%)
- Responsible for ensuring maximum quality still life imagery representative of product with regards to brand and product integrity with the customer in mind
- Effectively concept and communicate creative ideas with cross-functional partners
- Style product to accurately represent brands, capturing the specific details that make each product unique
- Highly skilled in large scale compositional layouts
- Attend creative brief meetings to acquire and share necessary information regarding projects and update style guides for consistency across all Carter’s, Inc. brands
- Attend seasonal product meetings, partner with Brand Sr. Creative Director on on-figure shotlist needs
Style Outs and Location (30%)
- Manage high volume style outs and styleout process for on-figure photoshoots (4-6 shoots per year)
- Leads review of style out of all product for shoots and documentation for each shot
- Build outfits and product stories that balance merchant requirements, consumer insight and marketing strategies
- Knowledge of and familiarity with existing product categories for all Carter’s, Inc. brands
- Partner and collaborate with styling team, photographers, studio manager, retouchers and cross-channel partners as needed to achieve day-to-day goals
- Manage on-brand prop sourcing, purchasing, and monthly expense reports
- Lead and develop Associate Stylists; assist with training and instructing freelance/contract stylists as needed
- Responsible for maintaining, sourcing and purchasing of props
- Charged with ensuring that styling areas around studio are in order each day
- Maintain a fully stocked styling kit at all times letting Sr. Stylist know of any special ordering needs
- Maintain and oversee organization of on-figure sample closet
- Keep continual pulse on current, relevant styling and market trend to elevate and push brands forward

Must Have:
- Ability to work with a team to accomplish deadlines and maintain production efficiency
- Hands-on ability to effectively style on figure photography with baby, toddler and kid segments with a brand right understanding and approach
- Understanding of digital photography, creative studio pace, and processes
- Deadline-driven, flexible and patient with the ability to accommodate last-minute additions to schedules and/or changes in direction
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong work ethic, open to feedback, flexible and proactive with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Troubleshoot and prioritize direction from creative feedback
- Demonstrated ability to work with children
- Proficient with Mac OS X, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong communication skills and excellent ability to work with a wide variety of people
