HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting systems that are within the distribution center as well as those that interact such as integration and order management. The Analyst will monitor systems and troubleshoot to identify the location and cause of operational issues and develop solutions. The Analyst will also perform testing functions that will include new processes and modifications to existing processes.

This role typical reports to Lead Solutions Analyst and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution center in our on-site work environment.

  

PRODUCTION SUPPORT AND ROOT-CAUSE ANALYSIS (75%)

  • Conduct first-level troubleshooting for operational, functional and systems issues within the DC, including DC processes, use of warehouse management systems, Host Systems/ERP, Warehouse Control Systems, Sortation Systems, and handheld devices/printers.
  • Develop functional specifications and requirement documentation (standard operating procedures) using thorough business and functional perspective and expertise. Contribute input regarding any process changes that impact the DC.
  • Remote Support of North American Distribution Centers
  • Responsible for production system support which includes analyzing root cause and driving to correct issues from repeat occurrences.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate business system functions and along with user needs for business process improvements to communicate business position on, upgrades, system enhancement, or issue resolution.
  • Select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Use SQLs to query the database and make dashboards/reports for Operations.
  • Monitor system activities and communicate issues to both Leadership & fellow team members in a timely manner with appropriate level of details.
  • Provide assistance and training to warehouse management systems users and assist with SOP writing/revisions as necessary.

TESTING/PROJECT WORK (25%)

  • Perform hands-on execution of test scenarios, documentation of all test conditions covering each test scenario, and proper logging of defects.
  • Develop and execute test cases as part of System Testing for SDNs delivered by Manhattan or supporting on-going projects.
  • Test new systems processes, enhancements and fixes for all DC utilized systems (WMS, WCS, etc.)

Must have:

  • Experience with Manhattan WMOS (Warehouse Management for Open System) and/or Manhattan Active preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business process design and operational/system testing.
  • Strong time management, organizational and verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills and the ability to take an innovative approach to business problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork, sharing knowledge and expertise as it relates to the role.
  • Able to work effectively both alone and in team/cooperative development efforts.
  • Rotating on-call schedule supporting multiple facilities, across North America, during non-business hours.
  • Must comply with Blackout Periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) as determined by Management.
  • Able to work on/throughout Holiday periods as decided by management (retail environment). 
  • Must be available to work consecutive days in a row during peak periods.
  • Must be available to travel as needed to support business needs (5-10%).

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in a Business Analyst role in a Distribution Center
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
