HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Visual Merchandising Manager - Testing / Store Reimagine will manage full process of Visual Merchandising presentation, from pre-buy to the end presentation in store ensuing design and merchant vision comes to life in our retail environment. This role will collaborate with Merchandising, Buying, Creative, Planning and Field partners to oversee all aspects of bi-monthly VMD, builds timelines, milestones, provides content, proofs & edits documentation ensuring print and store ops deadlines are met.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Visual Merchandising and is based in our corporate headquarters in Buckhead and will be required to be on-site 5 days a week.
Visual Merchandising - 40%
- Conceptualize and drive innovative visual strategies and approaches across multiple store formats that propels our brands and concepts forward
- Develops and executes ways to support key strategic business initiatives through Visual Merchandising/Presentation and fixture/prop roll outs
- Overseas all aspects of floor-set tests, from pre-buy work with buying team to final communication to field team for execution
- Actively participate in Store Reimagine meetings and make recommendations to support the tests needed to determine next steps in our evolution
- Lead & facilitate the set-up of merchandise & marketing statements in the visual lab store and live labs that are compelling, easy for customers to understand and elevate our brands
- Executes visual strategy and marketing in lab and living lab stores for corporate leadership review
- Partners with Visual Merchandising Directors and Managers to elevate monthly floor sets
- Partner and collaborate with retail creative team to drive relevant / necessary in-store marketing that supports tests, and evolution of set ups
- Develops and executes visual presentations for special projects and corporate events as needed including BOD set ups and NYC showroom
- Leads idea generation, sampling and developing seasonal displays and the sourcing of props to deliver presentation
- Travels to stores for special initiatives, new store openings, hands-on Visual Merchandising training and work throughs as needed
Management of Process - 30%
- Key stakeholder / business owner and decision maker for the Visual Merchandising team within Store Reimagine Team
- Manage full aspect of process, from time and action development to pre-buy work and ultimately final communication
- Action relevant changes based on outcome of weekly business review meetings
- Facilitate weekly meeting foe key test stakeholders. Offer solutions and action changes in a timely manner to influence buy and evolution of current & future presentations
- Lead all floor-set walkthroughs as they relate to project reimagine
- Manage computer files and facilitate visual process
Communication to Stores - 30%
- Create, execute and communicates merchandise blueprints, visual directives and window / campaign directives
- Responsible for documenting those statements in words and pictures and communicating them to our test stores within our national chain of retail stores
- Overseas all content communication to the field related to Visual Merchandising tests accountable for all content and output
- Builds training materials, standard manuals and videos for field team as needed
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Required:
- 3+ of corporate visual merchandising experience
- Creative / innovation leader experience required with an ability to offer creative solutions
- Must have strong fashion merchandising and display talent
- Understand key retail business functions
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
Preferred:
- Strong creative eye for fashion and color
- Multi-task, self-motivated and deadline oriented with high level of accuracy
- Hands-on merchandising of product and related fixtures in lab setting for corporate leadership review
- Hands-on setting of marketing in windows, store ceilings, etc.
- BA/BS degree preferred
